GENERAL
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
Your access to and use of TimeCheck PH (“the Website”) is subject exclusively to all these Terms and Conditions. You will not use the Website for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms and Conditions. By using the Website and for all transactions with TimeCheck PH you are fully accepting the terms, conditions and disclaimers contained in this notice. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions you must immediately stop using the Website.
2. CHANGES TO WEBSITE
TimeCheck PH reserves the right to:
2.1 Change or remove (temporarily or permanently) the Website or any part of it without notice and you confirm that TimeCheck PH shall not be liable to you for any such change or removal.
2.2 Change these Terms and Conditions at any time, and your continued use of the Website following any changes shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change.
3. LINKS TO THIRD PARTY WEBSITES
The Website may include links to third party Websites that are controlled and maintained by others. Any link to other websites is not an endorsement of such websites and you acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for the content or availability of any such sites.
4. COPYRIGHT
4.1 All copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in the Website and its content (including without limitation the Website design, text, graphics and all software and source codes connected with the Website) are owned by or licensed to TimeCheck PH or otherwise used by TimeCheck PH as permitted by law.
4.2 In accessing the Website you agree that you will access the content solely for your personal, non-commercial use. None of the content may be downloaded, copied, reproduced, transmitted, stored, sold or distributed without the prior written consent of the copyright holder. This excludes the downloading, copying and/or printing of pages of the Website for personal, non-commercial home use only.
5. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
5.1 The Website is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.
5.2 To the extent permitted by law, TimeCheck PH will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage whatever (including without limitation loss of business, opportunity, data, profits) arising out of or in connection with the use of the Website.
5.3 TimeCheck PH makes no warranty that the functionality of the Website will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected or that the Website or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or anything else which may be harmful or destructive.
5.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall be construed so as to exclude or limit the liability of TimeCheck PH for death or personal injury as a result of the negligence of TimeCheck PH or that of its employees or agents.
6. INDEMNITY
You agree to indemnify and hold TimeCheck PH and its employees and agents harmless from and against all liabilities, legal fees, damages, losses, costs and other expenses in relation to any claims or actions brought against TimeCheck PH arising out of any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions or other liabilities arising out of your use of this Website.
7. SEVERANCE
If any of these Terms and Conditions should be determined to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason by any court of competent jurisdiction then such Term or Condition shall be severed and the remaining Terms and Conditions shall survive and remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.
8. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the Philippines and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Philippine courts.
9. PRICE AND PAYMENT
9.1 Any price that stipulated on the Website is a guide only. The final computation which includes delivery and handling fee are indicated in the invoice sent to the Client.
9.2 Payment of fees must be made in full before dispatch of the repair or goods.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In the event of any breach of these Terms and Conditions by the TimeCheck PH, the remedies of the Client shall be limited to damages which shall in no circumstances exceed the Price of the Goods and TimeCheck PH shall under no circumstances be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage whatever.
11. WAIVER
No waiver by the Client (whether express or implied) in enforcing any of its rights under this contract shall prejudice its rights to do so in the future.
12. FORCE MAJEURE
TimeCheck PH shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of its obligations if the delay or failure results from events or circumstances outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, lock outs, accidents, war, fire, failure of any communications, telecommunications or computer system, breakdown of plant or machinery or shortage or unavailability of raw materials from a natural source of supply, and the Client shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of its obligations.
13. CHANGES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND PRIVACY POLICY
The Client shall be entitled to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time, but this right shall not affect the existing Terms and Conditions accepted by the Buyer upon making a purchase.
SERVICE AND REPAIRS
1. ESTIMATES AND PROCEEDS
1.1 No work will be started before the repair/service has been fully assessed, the price verified and the Client has agreed either over the phone, email or writing thus proceeding the item for repair/service.
1.2 Although we carefully assess all our repairs and services, we reserve the right to charge for any unforeseen work, further parts to complete the repair and any extra work that is needed. The Client will be informed as soon as possible if this situation should arise.
1.3 TimeCheck PH reserves the right to charge for any work that has been already carried out if the Client requests the item to be returned un-done after giving the instruction to proceed. Normally 50% of the full service cost plus return delivery.
1.4 On occasion, either due to the item needing further parts that need to be sourced, unusual high volume of repairs or staff holidays and sickness, the repair time may be extended. In such circumstances the Client will be notified as soon as possible.
1.5 From time to time or for specific watch brands we may provide online price guides and also provide free estimates via e-mail. These estimates are given as a guide only. They rely the accuracy and quality of information given to us by the Client. TimeCheck PH is not responsible for any difference in online estimates and estimates in our workshop.
1.6 Telephone estimates are given as a guide only. They rely the accuracy and quality of information given to us by the Client. TimeCheck PH is not responsible for any difference in telephone estimates and estimates in our workshop.
1.7 TimeCheck PH offers free hands on estimates in our workshop but reserves the right to charge for return postage should the Client not wish to proceed with any work. See “Postal Charges and Information” below.
2. MANUFACTURERS AND OUT WORKERS
2.1 TimeCheck PH carries out all of the repair/service work in our workshop. If for any reason this cannot be carried out in our workshop we may send their item to the manufacturers or an specialist for an estimate.
2.2 If the item is with the manufacturer/outworker this may increase costs and the repair/service time. The Client will be kept informed of any changes as soon as possible.
3. COMPLETED SERVICE AND REPAIR
3.1 TimeCheck PH will contact the Client when the repair/service is completed to arrange payment. No repair/service will be returned to the Client until full payment is made.
3.2 All “Service & Repair Guarantees” are valid from the date the repair/service is completed not the date the repair/service is received.
3.3 TimeCheck PH reserves the right to sell or auction uncollected/unpaid repairs after a period of six (6) months to recoup any money owed. If this situation should arise the Client will be notified in writing one month before the sixth month is up.
3.4 TimeCheck PH guarantees all repair/services for a period of twelve months. Every service will be returned with an invoice which is a service & repair guarantee detailing the work that has been carried out.
3.5 Small repairs and part jobs will only be guaranteed on the exact worked carried out.
4. RETURNS, REFUNDS AND WARRANTY
4.1 Our service & repair guarantee, guarantees against defects arising from the repair/service undertaken. Our guarantee does not cover misuse, accidental damage, components not fitted during the repair/service, components that have been recommended to be changed/repaired and becomes invalid if any unauthorized entry or attempted entry into the movement is made during the twelve-month period.
4.2 If a fault occurs within the twelve-month period, we will endeavor to rectify the fault free of labor charge. All postal costs incurred either to or from the Client are non-refundable.
4.3 Circuit boards and coils are not covered by our warranty.
POSTAL CHARGES AND INFORMATION
1.1 We recommend you follow our postage instructions for posting repairs/services to us on our Mailing Form page.
2. RETURN POSTAGE
2.1 TimeCheck PH uses LBC for Philippine deliveries, and Fedex for international deliveries for returning repairs/services as we feel these are the most secure and reliable methods as do the rest of the watch and jewellery industries for sending repairs/services and in most cases brand new items with values in excess of USD 10,000.
2.2 However TimeCheck PH can return a repair/service by any other method the Client requests, at the Client’s risk.
2.3 The compensation level chosen is ultimately the Client’s choice and that TimeCheck PH is not responsible for any loss or damage to goods during transit if the chosen postage is inadequate or the compensation available is less than the value of the goods.
PRIVACY POLICY STATEMENT
TimeCheck PH is committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the security of any personal information received from you. We strictly adhere to the requirements of the data protection legislation in the Philippines.
The purpose of this statement is to explain to you what personal information we collect and how we may use it.
When you have your watch serviced, make an order or enquire using our online form, we need to know your personal contact details. This allows us to contact you with an estimate, for payment, updates or to fulfil your order. You have the option to withhold any personal information that is not required for the process.
We do not sell, rent or exchange your personal information with any third party for commercial reasons, beyond the essential requirement for credit/debit card validation during purchase or payment.
We will email you occasionally with updates on our products and services.
We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorized access in accordance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act.
We do not collect sensitive information about you except when you specifically knowingly provide it. In order to maintain the accuracy of our database, you can check, update or remove your personal details by writing to info@timecheck.ph.
We use a technology called “cookies” as part of a normal business procedure to track patterns of behavior of visitors to our site. How much does a typical watch repair cost? How is the price determined?
It depends on the type of service or intervention your watch requires. Simple battery replacements are naturally less costly while ones that need rare parts would cost more. How does watch repair by mail work?

Can a safe home service session be done?
Yes. We understand the perils of operating without being compliant to the necessary health protocols in preventing the spread of Covid-19. We are happy to share to you that all of our watch technicians are fully vaccinated and provided with an abundant supply of masks, face shields, alcohol as well as other disinfectants to ensure that our clients and our team are all protected.
What if I don’t know the kind of watch repair I need?
Mechanical watches, especially the vintage and more complicated ones, are very delicate objects. Often times, watches that are sent to our team are identified to be defective and problematic because of the following user errors:
– Wearing the watch in outdoor and water-based activities without the necessary shock, pressure and water testing.
– Improper use of watch function and date settings
– Inappropriate use of the winding function of the watch movement
– Unnecessary fidgeting of chronograph buttons
– Adjusting the watch movement regulator without the right tools or skill set
– Exposing the watch to magnetic fields
– Improper storage

How long does a watch repair service typically take?
Different watch service types have different turn-around-time requirements. A simple battery replacement can be carried out in less than 30 minutes, while a complete movement overhaul of a vintage chronograph or perpetual calendar can take up to 2-3 weeks, and is subject to availability of replacement parts. We are committed on improving our processes to be able to service watches faster than typical service centers but we are also as committed to ensure that the quality of our service is never compromised.
Is my timepiece worth the cost of repair or service?
Whether the intent is to wear, store or sell any timepiece, it usually makes more financial sense in the long run to regularly service a watch than leaving it unchecked. Not paying attention to the required service intervals of your timepieces might lead to costly and irreversible damages to the various parts of the mechanical movement of the watch down the road. More importantly, watches are often associated with stories and memories that are intrinsically priceless so yes — it is prudent to regularly maintain or service them in the best and most cost-effective way we can.
